The American Task Force for Lebanon (ATFL) is a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization comprised primarily of dedicated Americans of Lebanese heritage and others who share a common interest in Lebanon and the goals of the ATFL. Enjoying the good fortunes of the United States and making our contribution to this great nation of immigrants, we Americans of Lebanese heritage express our respect for the attachment that all Americans have to the lands of their origin and recognize these natural feelings as contributing to the bond that holds all Americans together. At all times, the mission and objectives of the ATFL shall be in the best interest of the United States, with special emphasis on national security.

Nonsectarian and nonpartisan, the ATFL unites American leaders of Lebanese heritage who seek to fulfill the following objectives:

• Provide a national structure for Lebanese Americans to promote the national unity, independence, sovereignty, security, and prosperity of a free and democratic Lebanon;
• Encourage greater involvement by the United States in efforts to promote a peaceful settlement of the problems in Lebanon, and to help restore the basic infrastructure of Lebanese economic, political, educational, democratic, and social institutions; and,
• Maintain a dialogue between the ATFL and Lebanese political, social, civic, and academic institutions that share the mission of ATFL;
• Enlist greater support from the US public and government to assist Lebanon achieve its potential as a beacon of coexistence, tolerance, freedom of expression, democracy, and free enterprise in the Middle East;
• Encourage greater participation of women and youth in all aspects of our mission.
• Heighten awareness of the American public about the accomplishments and contributions of Lebanese Americans; and,
• Encourage tourism to Lebanon, taking into consideration the Department of State Travel Warning.

The American Task Force for Lebanon seeks to enhance Lebanon's image in the United States and set an example of nonsectarian, nonpartisan support for a free and united Lebanon.
