Executive Chairman
GDI Integrated Facility Services
Born to Lebanese immigrants, Ahmed Boomrod has dedicated his life to not only pursuing the American dream, but also making that dream a reality for those less fortunate in and outside of his community.
Ahmed refuses to let those around him struggle. This drive has led him to build an autism center in Michigan and create a foundation that provides financial relief to his employees and their families. His foundation has provided shelter and covered medical and funeral costs for his employees.
Ahmed also works on many international philanthropic initiatives. With family ties to the Middle East, Ahmed is concerned about his ancestral home of Lebanon where he has long provided relief to refugees along the border of Syria and Lebanon through building of hospitals, farms and distributing food. His devotion to help those in need is inherited from his mother and as a tribute to her he founded two Women & Children’s shelters in Lebanon. Further, since 1990 he has led the charge on providing thousands in impoverished villages in South Africa access clean and safe water.
Ahmed is quoted as having said, “One God that we are all from, there should be no hate in this world”. Ahmed is guided by his strong faith in God and relentless passion to see his many philanthropic endeavors grow world-wide.
