Advancing US-Lebanon Relations
ATFL engages with the US government to promote a strong US policy towards Lebanon. Our efforts focus on strengthening Lebanon’s democracy, pluralism, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. We believe this is in the best interest of US foreign policy and the Lebanese people.
Security Cooperation
We champion a strong partnership between the US and the Lebanese Armed Forces to support the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Lebanon as well as broader regional stability.
Humanitarian Assistance
We advocate for needed humanitarian assistance at this time of historic adversity in Lebanon, including the reconstruction and rehabilitation of war-torn communities and livelihood support for both refugees and vulnerable host communities.
Support for American Institutions of Higher Education in Lebanon
We are unwavering supporters of American education in Lebanon, both to equip the next generation of Lebanese youth with the skills necessary to succeed in tomorrow’s economy and for the bridge it builds between the United States and the Middle East.
US–Lebanon Friendship Caucus
The US-Lebanon Friendship Caucus is a bipartisan group of Members of Congress who champion a strong US-Lebanon bilateral relationship. Over the years, the caucus has served as the leading voice in Congress calling for both increased support from the United States to assist the people of Lebanon as well as for needed reforms from Lebanon’s leadership.
