Experience Policy in Action

The ATFL Internship Program gives students and young professionals a chance to gain real experience in policy, advocacy, and nonprofit work. Interns support projects that strengthen the relationship between the United States and
Lebanon.

What You’ll Do

Policy Research

Conduct research on US-Lebanon relations, analyze policy developments, and prepare briefing materials for stakeholders and decision-makers.

Communications

Support media outreach, draft content for newsletters and social media, and help amplify ATFL’s message to broader audiences.

Event Planning

Assist with organizing briefings, receptions, and other events that bring together policymakers, community leaders, and
stakeholders.

Networking

Connect with professionals in government, diplomacy, and advocacy.

Build relationships that can advance your career in public service.

Writing & Analysis

Develop your writing skills by drafting reports, policy memos, and articles on issues affecting US-Lebanon relations.

Team Collaboration

Work alongside experienced professionals and fellow interns on projects that have real impact on policy and community engagement.

Who Can Apply?

Students & Recent Graduates

Open to undergraduate and graduate students, or recent graduates who are eager to learn and contribute.

Interest in International Affairs

Passionate about US-Lebanon relations, public policy, or international affairs and diplomacy.

Strong Communication Skills

Excellent writing and organizational skills are an asset. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Commitment to Service

Demonstrated interest in public service, community engagement, or advocacy work that makes a difference.

Program Details

Timeline

Internship opportunities are available three times a year during the spring, summer, and fall terms.

Location

Applicants must be based in Washington, DC during the duration of the internship to participate in our hybrid work schedule.

Time Commitment

Part-time and full-time positions available to fit your schedule and academic commitments.
