Matthew Audi serves as the Government Affairs Assistant at ATFL, where he supports the organization’s engagement with the U.S. Administration and Congress. Inspired by his grandparents, who immigrated to the United States from Lebanon, Matthew is dedicated to advancing human rights and strengthening U.S.–Lebanon relations.
Prior to joining ATFL, Matthew worked as an Organizing Fellow for the New York State Democratic Party, managing voter outreach and volunteer coordination. He has also completed internships with the National Council on U.S.–Arab Relations and the Center for Contemporary Arab Studies at Georgetown University.
Outside of his work in Washington, Matthew is leading community efforts in his hometown of Ramapo, New York, to develop a multi-use greenway connecting local neighborhoods.
He earned a B.A. in Government and Legal Studies with a concentration in Comparative Politics, and in Anthropology, from Bowdoin College, where he graduated with Honors. While at Bowdoin, he served as Captain of the Cross Country and Track and Field Teams and completed an honors thesis on Lebanese-American Christian identities.
