The American Task Force on Lebanon (ATFL) announced the launch of a $10 million endowment to strengthen the organization’s long-term financial sustainability and ensure its mission can continue for generations to come.
The endowment, announced Thursday evening during ATFL’s 40th Anniversary Annual Dinner in Washington, has already received nearly $7 million in commitments from members of ATFL’s leadership and longtime supporters. Building on this early momentum, ATFL’s Board of Directors has established a $10 million goal for the endowment.
The endowment will provide a permanent source of funding for ATFL’s work to support and enrich US policy towards Lebanon, advance Lebanon’s goal of building a sovereign, stable and prosperous country and deepen ties with the Lebanese-American community across the United States.
“This endowment represents an investment in the long-term future of ATFL and the mission we have pursued for 40 years,” said Ambassador Ed Gabriel, President and CEO of ATFL. “The extraordinary response from our supporters reflects their commitment not only to ATFL, but to ensuring that a strong and enduring relationship between the United States and Lebanon remains a priority for generations to come.”
The establishment of the endowment represents a significant milestone as ATFL marks its 40th anniversary and looks toward its next chapter. By creating a permanent financial foundation for the organization, the endowment will help ATFL sustain and expand its policy work, community engagement and educational efforts in Washington, while ensuring that the voice of the Lebanese American community continues for decades to come.
