August 17, 2026 - Beirut, Lebanon - LBCI reported on the bipartisan US Congressional Staff Delegation to Lebanon organized by the American Task Force on Lebanon. The delegation brought together Republican and Democratic staff from both the US House and Senate for meetings with Lebanese officials and other key voices, giving participants an opportunity to hear directly about Lebanon’s political, security, and economic challenges. LBCI’s report explored the messages Lebanese officials shared with the visiting congressional delegation.

 

Speaking with LBCI during the visit, ATFL President Ambassador Ed Gabriel highlighted ATFL’s role in bringing the delegation to Lebanon. The visit is part of ATFL’s broader work to strengthen the US-Lebanon relationship by creating opportunities for US policymakers and congressional staff to engage directly with Lebanese leaders, institutions, civil society, and communities and to develop a deeper understanding of the issues shaping the bilateral relationship.
