Andrew has dedicated his career to advancing humanitarian and social causes through medicine, education, and advocacy. He graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Central Florida and earned his M.D. from the University of Texas Southwestern, where he was commissioned as a Captain in the United States Air Force and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He recently graduated from his anesthesiology residency at Columbia University and has published peer-reviewed research on epilepsy, chronic pain, homeless healthcare, and cardiology, earning multiple first place conference honors. He is currently stationed at Brooke Army Medical Center where he is completing his chronic pain fellowship and is part of the 959th Surgical Operations Squadron.
He has served as an NGO Representative to the United Nations, chaired a subcommittee for the American Society of Regional Anesthesia, and is President and Founder of Hearts for the Homeless International, a nonprofit supporting underserved communities in over half the United States and throughout the world. His work has been recognized by President Clinton and the United States Congress, and he has also received numerous honors including the New York Presbyterian-Hospital Dalio Center for Health Justice in Action Award, Newman Civic Fellowship, Jamaican Ex-Soldiers Association Lapel, and UCF 30 Under 30 Alumni Award.
